The 2021 IASLC World Conference on Lung Cancer event begins on Wednesday 8 September.
As with the delayed 2020 conference, this will be a virtual event, due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and its attendant restrictions. You can access the conference via the website here: wclc2021.iaslc.org
The GLCC will be making two key presentations to the conference:
1. Patients’ Experiences During COVID-19: The Second Global Lung Cancer Coalition Patient Experience Survey
Jackie Fenemore, Chair of Lung Cancer Nursing UK, will be presenting the findings from our global patient experience survey. To learn more about how COVID-19 has affected patients’ experiences of their diagnosis, treatment and care, join the conference at 8:15am Mountain Time MDT on Thursday 9 September.
2. Considering the Continued Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Patient Advocacy and Support Organisations
GLCC Chair, Prof Matthew Peters, will be presenting the findings from our global membership survey on the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. His presentation is scheduled for 8:25am Mountain Time MDT, also on Thursday 9 September.
Other highlights to look out for include:
Presidential Symposium results from the POSEIDON, ATLANTIS, and IMpower010 trials, plus a study about lung cancer and air pollution, and an IASLC study on COVID-19 & clinical trials. Translations of these items will be available from the conference website in Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
