As members of the @Lung Cancer Policy Network, the GLCC is pleased to have contributed to its latest report: Increasing the earlier detection of lung cancer: a toolbox for change.
Earlier detection offers a unique opportunity to shift diagnosis to an earlier stage, and consequently plays a vital role in improving survival by increasing treatment options such as curative surgery.
The Network hopes that this new report can support national decision-makers in making earlier detection an integral feature of cancer control plans. The report aims to provide the tools needed to start taking ambitious steps towards implementing feasible strategies for earlier detection that best serve the differing needs of populations across the globe.
The report draws on the expertise of Network members and is supported by a series of 12 case studies, expert interviews, and policy-level recommendations.
