From our colleagues at the Lung Cancer Policy Network

Earlier detection webinar

This Lung Cancer Awareness Month, the Lung Cancer Policy Network is highlighting the need to detect lung cancer earlier. And, to support this objective, the organisation is hosting a webinar on 13 November to examine opportunities to improve early-detection strategies for lung cancer in different settings.

The Network has invited a panel of experts to share their insights on implementing screening and other strategies in different health systems and national contexts, and discuss how they overcame challenges along the way.

While detecting lung cancer earlier can greatly improve patient outcomes, huge barriers to implementation still stand in the way.

Building on the Network’s 2023 report ‘Increasing the earlier detection of lung cancer: a toolbox for change’, the webinar will explore the actions needed to support health system leaders and decision-makers in establishing effective early-detection strategies. The webinar will also look at steps that can be taken to ensure that strategies are tailored to different locations. #DetectEarlySaveLives #LungCancerAwarenessMonth
